Delhi's gym culture has a very predictable seasonal rhythm. Once the heat breaks in October-November, attendance goes up — cooler mornings, more people willing to train after work, and a general mood shift toward "getting serious" before wedding season and the new year. It's genuinely a good window to build muscle and improve fitness, mostly because training itself gets easier when you're not fighting 40-degree heat and humidity.
The catch is that winter also changes what's easily available to eat, and not always in a helpful direction. Street food stalls lean harder into fried snacks this time of year — pakoras, kachori, the whole category of hot-fried-things-that-taste-better-when-it's-cold. Chai consumption goes up, usually the sugared kind. And because appetite genuinely increases in cold weather, it's easy to eat more of everything without noticing.
